Photography
What ties these images together is that they hold remnants of stories, the gray area between a direct idea and a (perhaps beautiful, but) expressionless frame. They stem from the past, present or perhaps indicate the future. We are never completely sure of everything, just as I am never sure of my photographs -- but I can tell when they've captured something important. Life, or portrayals of such, produce results of their impactful presence, which includes ourselves as human beings. I am included in such concepts, and so sometimes I'm involved in my own photos. Stories are a result of all of us, just are the man-made structures we perceive through our various senses. These photos mimic the childish observations of the world around us in closer detail, from an innocent and unregulated perspective.
Photography Experimentation
This small series of photos was taken at night in the reflection of a window in my house. When I observed my reflection from different angles, I noticed it produced double and sometimes triple staggered images. With this as my subject, I experimented with placement of light, use of flash, exposure, expression and angle in my photography.
